Should mp's get �100 000 a year in wages? Are they worth it?
Was on the radio just now ... That is a 66% wage increase!?! That kind of luxury is normally only afforded to those self-employed who are doing extremely well or those on OTE above a basic wage (if they're lucky) ... and neither can be said from those honourable mp's now, in my opinion. Aren't there more deserving civil servants on whom this money would be better spent? For the americans that would be the equivalent of $197 810 a year in wages. For example " a book costs $22 online. The exchange rate is �1 to $1.46. How much is it in pounds? I need to work it out quickly using pen and paper. Is long division the quickest way?Dont tell me to go to a currency convertor on the net!! cheers for the help!
