They said that they do not charge commission, and they offer the best exchange rate, is it true? And are they safe and good?

I send a monthly allowance to my fiance in the Phillippines, what is the least expensive way I can do this?
I have previously sent an allowance to my fiance in Phillippines with Western Union they charge about �9 to send 10000pesos, this normally costs a bit more than �160 in all. I have now registered with Currencies Direct because they have told me they do not charge a fee for sending so I am setting up account to send �150 each month.Currencies Direct have told me that I have missed the deadline for sending this month but have enabled me to make a one off transfer to my fiances account with my Visa card,they told me that if I sent �160 she would receive 10000pesos,in fact she has received 9160pesos. I am left thinking now that �150 I am arranging to send for future months by account with Currencies Direct will be considerably less than 10000pesos unless of course using my Visa has cost more than a regular direct debit will.Maybe I would be better off to continue using Western Union,could it be that their exchange rate is better although they charge a fee , are Currencies Direct a more expensive way of sending money or are they not . Any advise from someone with experience will be gratefully received.
