Delta Air Lines to close Seattle-area call center with 189 employees

Delta Airlines will be closing its reservations call center near SeaTac Airport on Sept. 1. The center's 189 employees were notified of this decision on April 10, and they will be offered other positions within Delta, company spokesman Morgan Durrant said. "It?s just a skill set that we will continue to need to serve our customers," he said. University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora on Thursday will cut the ribbon on its $20 million expansion of the Anschutz Cancer Pavilion. Hawaii interisland shipper Young Brothers reported a 2.6 percent increase in its cargo volume for the first quarter of this year compared to the same time in 2011.
