Investing in foriegn currency ... ? ?
Hi All, I am trying to save some money to buy a house but i could do with boosting my funds somehow. I have been thinking about investing in foreign currency particularly the Australian Dollar, currently this currency is very weak against the Pound. I was going to do this a while ago with the US dollar when it was at its low point, the US Dollar has now risen... I was thinking of purchasing £1000 which will get me around £2360 Aus dollars. Has anyone done this before, would it be a safe and worthwhile investment ... I am in no rush to get the money back so i can sit on it for 6-12 months... I am sure that the Aus dollar will gain strength again .. What are your thoughts?
